Our Story
Born Under the Aussie Sun
I’m Tory, the proud founder of Slappy Hats and mum to four beautiful, adventure-loving kids. Born and bred in Western Australia, we spend our days outdoors - between the beach, the farm, and everywhere in between - with the sun always overhead.
Like many parents, I wanted a hat that genuinely protected my children: something that covered their heads, necks, and ears, stayed on in the wind, and stopped the constant squinting. But no matter where I looked, I couldn’t find one that ticked every box.
I needed something they could wear on the beach, on the tennis court, helping on the farm, or exploring the bush - practical, comfortable, and built for real Aussie adventures.
So, I created the Slappy Hat.
Designed with full sun protection and a stay-put fit, it’s everything I wished existed for my own kids—and more. And because they worked so well, I made them in adult sizes too.
